Huskissons House
This very attractive modern three bedroomed house in the village of Lavister benefits from a large garden complete with its own brook and woodland area. The vendors had decided to downsize, but were in no particular rush to move. The first prospective purchaser was very keen to start with but soon stopped responding to messages and then pulled out – this seemed just to be a change of heart, but obviously the vendors were disappointed. As the house had generated a lot of interest when it came to market we helped them to remain positive and the house returned to market. We did introduce another potential buyer quite quickly, the conveyancing process began and all seemed well until everything went quiet: once again the purchaser pulled out. We reassured the vendors that we had kept the details of everyone who had enquired about the house so we were able to contact interested parties straight away to keep moment and another sale was soon agreed. The next prospective purchaser was once again very keen, the conveyancing process however was slow! The vendors were starting to become fed up with not knowing when they would be moving, so we had to continually keep the pressure on the purchaser. The delay was with her buyer, but nevertheless we had to keep advising that she must keep in regular contact with her solicitor to push her purchase over the line. After much chasing, we finally had a date for exchange and completion.
“Really impressed with the service we received over a most protracted sale. The regular contact and feedback given by Tim and Emma was impressive and sadly uncommon nowadays. We would highly recommend Rickitt Partnership for their professionalism and perseverance in achieving our property sale. Thank you so much”
