Still surrounded by Roman Walls, and boasting the world’s oldest racecourse still in operation, a medieval cathedral and the famous Rows for shopping, Chester is rich in history.  Storyhouse, a theatre, cinema and library complex provides more contemporary culture and the many cafes, restaurants and bars make Chester a busy, bustling city for locals and visitors alike.  The soon to be completed Northgate development will offer new retail and hospitality experiences to add to the city’s attractions.  There are also lovely walks alongside the River Dee.  As a small city Chester has a relaxed feel but offers something for everyone.
