Ralph reviews two apartments in the heart of Tarporley
There is no doubt that summer was definitely late out the starting blocks this year and, in the blink of an eye we have already arrived at the start of autumn. I have decided to embrace the changeable weather of the season and so each walk sees me setting off with a backpack laiden with pug clothing to suit any eventuality. Feeling fully prepared I have been out and about as often as possible to explore the beautiful sights that Cheshire has to offer. This week I was particularly delighted to be shipped off to one of my favourite villages, Tarporley, to cast my discerning pug’s eye over two apartments situated within the heart of the village for the subject of my latest Ralph’s Review.
Now Tarporley is a real jewel in Cheshire’s crown – a charming village full of chic boutiques and independent eateries. It is also within a stone’s throw of rolling Cheshire countryside, so it is no surprise that it is such a popular and desirable location in which to live. Dad and I arrived in the village and, having parked the car, strolled leisurely down the High Street. As you can imagine, the delicious scents emanating from the various restaurants and cafes sent my taste buds into overdrive. Having arranged my face into my most adorable “feed me” expression, I was rewarded with a piece of grilled chicken, a morsel of bacon and a slice of sausage from my adoring fans – not bad work I thought as I licked my lips joyously! Having just devoured the last bit of sausage, dad stopped and I dutifully ground to a halt next to him and gazed up at a beautiful period building. Dad explained that we were here to review both the first floor and the top floor apartments.
“Well, what are we waiting for?” I barked impatiently whilst heading for the main door which is situated to the side of the building. I bounded up the stairs to the first floor and stepped over the threshold of No 73C into an entrance hall. Following the corridor to the right I discovered a beautifully refurbished open plan sitting room and dining room. I was utterly charmed by both rooms, each was graced with a beautiful bay window whilst the piece de resistance was arguably the Edwardian style fireplace in the dining room. Next stop was the kitchen, which was contemporary, light and airy. Looking around I nodded in approval at the configuration which made the most of the space.
Turning about tail I headed to the opposite end of the apartment to cast my eye over the bedrooms – I was delighted to find two very appealing and welcoming bedrooms which were full of period charm. My last stop was a beautifully styled contemporary shower room. As I cast a final look around, I decided that Apartment 73C offers the perfect pad for a single person or couple who would enjoy a property filled with period charm in a location that offers a perfect blend of rural charm and boutique sophistication.
With that in mind I trotted enthusiastically up the stairs to the top floor to discover the delights I anticipated would be on offer at Apartment 73D. Having climbed the stairs, I found myself in a beautiful reception room. Two windows and a skylight ensured that it was a light and airy room. As I wandered around, I noted that it had a decidedly contemporary feel. This feeling was reinforced as I continued to circumnavigate the apartment. I popped my head into the kitchen where I admired the dazzlingly white cabinets and timber-effect work surfaces. My next stop was the bedroom which felt spacious and comfortable and finally I found myself in a rather chic shower room with a large walk in shower. This was just the ticket for a dashing little pug such as myself – a bit of primping and preening and Venetia the Vizla would be unable to resist me at doggy daycare!
With a wistful sigh, I headed back down the stairs and prepared to leave apartments 73 C and D behind me. As I did so I considered just how perfect these apartments would be as a first home for a young singleton or couple but that they would be equally perfect people looking to downsize, perhaps if they were empty nesters. Properties such as these offer up so many opportunities….
If your interest has been piqued by either apartment 73C or 73D then please do not hesitate to contact myself or one of my team on 01244 322322 or info@rickittpartnership.co.uk to arrange a viewing.
Until next time
